01 / About

An early evangelist, building sovereign economies.

Tridib Nandy discovered Bitcoin around 2010–2011 while on sabbatical in Hawaii, and became one of India's earliest blockchain evangelists. He went on to design “sovereign economy” infrastructure for Pacific island nations — pairing emerging-market pragmatism with a conviction that distributed systems can reshape how governments and communities hold identity, money and trust.

A Bengali, Indian-origin entrepreneur, traveler and musician, he studied at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Across two decades he has been a serial founder and digital nomad, moving between technology, finance and the arts — and a frequent speaker and ambassador for blockchain adoption.

Today his focus is squarely on CBDCs and regulated stablecoins: the rails, governance and token design that let public institutions issue and manage digital value responsibly.

Palau CBDC & Stablecoin

By his account, Tridib helped originate one of the Pacific's first national CBDC/blockchain initiatives in Palau, leading the early educational and partnership phase. In 2020, Sovereign Union announced a CBDC pilot partnership with Apollo Fintech, with a letter of intent signed by Palau's Ministry of Finance. The national stablecoin effort was later carried forward in a separate, Ripple-led USD-backed pilot on the XRP Ledger.

Note: the later Ripple-led pilot is an independent phase and does not credit Tridib by name.
